Arriving in đŸ‡®đŸ‡·

May 1st: Yes we made it! After 12h on the ferry we drove our car of the boat. We drove 50m – that’s it. We had to immigrate ourselves first and only afterwards you can start the import process of the car.

We were the last ones queuing…. but it works fast and the customs officials were very friendly and tried even to speak some German. In the course of preparing the trip M1 had organized a guide/agent for us to help with the import process. We had some stories heard that the process will last 6h … with the help we had it took us 2h only.

So who ever does it take an agent. Make sure your guid/agent can speak at least some basic words in English…. having said that: language is a huge obstacle here.

After that we could eventually leave the harbor and go direction hotel. As we had a bit of time before check in our guide showed us the famous beach of the City….. no no not what you all would visualize now as a beach… it is something different… cars are driving up and down the beach and nobody is really in the water… this Beach is a Highway. I have never seen something like this before.

We arrived than at the hotel… Iran Hotel. In the middle of the City. Very basic … but good enough for a night. WiFi is available but slow. Even a TV is there … We went out into the evening of Bandera Abbas … main objective: buying a SIM card … a nightmare…. no one speaks English and that makes it fairly impossible to get one. The best to advise it here is buying one at any international airport as a Visitors SIM card.

A very long first day with … tomorrow first road trip to Kerman in the east…

How exciting, we can roll on the ferry Trip from Bandar Abbas to Kerman
